PERFORMANCE: Attica Ventures' latest investment
3 April 2007
Attica Ventures has just announced a new investment in the field of IT services, with a €1 million stake in PERFORMANCE Technologies.
PERFORMANCE is a company that provides specialised Data Storage, Business Continuity, IT Governance and IT Asset Management services and creates its own related hardware and software products. Investing consistently in the acquisition of authoritative know-how and the development of innovative products and services, PERFORMANCE has set its sights on being the first Greek company to play in the same league as international giants like IBM, HP, EMC, SUN, etc.
PERFORMANCE has solid, long-term partnerships with such leading IT companies as BDNA, CA, HP, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Oracle, ORSYP, Price Systems, Quantum, RSA Security, Symantec, VERITAS and VMware. Its know-how and skill in designing and realising complex projects are unmatched in the region, while its objective is to extend its expertise and experience with regard to the products and technologies it deals in.
PERFORMANCE solutions are in productive operation in large telecommunications and ISP companies and organisations, in government services and in the financial, industrial and commercial sectors. Its clients include telecommunications firms (OTE, VODAFONE, COSMOTE, FORTHnet, MobilTel, etc.), banks (including ATE Bank, Geniki Bank, Piraeus Bank, National Bank of Greece and NovaBank), and large industrial and business corporations (e.g. Titan, Intracom, the Public Power Corporation, Pegasos Press, Europcar, Plaisio, Byte Computer and Nereas).
In the words of Attica Ventures Managing Director Yannis Papadopoulos, "we chose to invest in PERFORMANCE because it has outstanding human resources, a sound economic base, substantial clients by whom it is trusted and most importantly a clear development strategy that is not restricted to the Greek market".
The company has an unfaltering record of strong growth and solid earnings. Its organic profitability provides the basic resources to feed future growth based on the development of new products and services and on geographical expansion. In 2006 it entered a new phase, exporting know-how and services to Cyprus and other countries in the Balkans and the Middle East and in the process generated earnings of €9,625,000, up 24% over the previous year. By continuing to exploit new opportunities, the company expects to maintain or even step up this growth rate, anticipating earnings of more than a,¬ 13,000,000 in 2007.
